Feb 16-17, Swamp Stomp, Sarasota Florida, USARA Nationals Qualifier, and Checkpoint Tracker Series race.  6th Place overall and in Coed Elite!!!

March 8-9, Checkpoint Zero 30 hour, Hiawassee GA.   Checkpoint Tracker Series race.  11th Place, Coed Elite!!!

April 5, Hampton Road Adventures (HRA) SPAR 4 - 6 hour.  Williamsburg, VA.  HRAdventure has brought back its Spring Adventure Race for a fourth season with a 4-6 hour race. This year's SPAR course has been designed with the beginner AR racer in mind. The 2008 SPAR promises the novice racer a look into the thrill of adventure racing while also challenging the experienced racer with a beautiful course. We have combined 20+ scenic miles of mountain biking, trekking, and paddling wrapped around backcountry navigation.  2nd Place, 2 person Coed (beginner course)!!!

April 24-27, 2008 Odyssey Endorphin Fix 3 Day.  Checkpoint Tracker Series race.  We are on for this one!!!  It will be 3 days and 200 miles of supported bliss.  Like going to a day spa, but different!  Widely known as the “ Toughest 2-Day Race in the Country ", the FIX just got tougher. Odyssey adds another day to this challenging and epic adventure race.  The rugged , but scenic terrain of West Virginia and the different disciplines of mt. biking and trekking on fire roads and single track, whitewater rafting and swimming in class II and III rapids , rappelling and ascending towering rock walls , and orienteering though lush forest vegetation will set the stage for an epic event which Odyssey Adventure Racing is known to provide for the wanting adventure athlete.  Still waiting... 

April 26, American Adventure Sports/Nature Cure Yough Extreme 12 hour.  This is a USARA Nationals Qualifier. The 10th annual Yough Xtreme AR will consist of 25+ miles of mountain biking, 20 miles of treking/orienteering, 9 mile kayak on the Middle Yough river, 175' rappel off of the Historic railroad tressel & a river swim. This race is transitional/unsupported & will be raced with a Rogaine format. Post race party at the Falls river pub.  10th Place, Coed Elite!!!

April 26, EX2 Adventures, Greenhorn.  The third annual Greenhorn AR was created to offer competitors a gateway into the sport of adventure racing. This 2-4 hour sprint adventure race was designed with the beginner in mind. While there is significant challenge built in, this event is fun and highly achievable for the novice racer. The navigation is straight forward, the trails are well marked, and the maps that we provide are excellent. The mountain biking will take racers over mostly non-technical fire roads and pavement but there are some semi-technical singletrack trails to provide an extra challenge. Finally, the paddling will take place on a clear and calm mountain lake.  16th Place, Coed Elite!!!

May 31- June 1, American Aventure Sports/Nature Cure Lionheart 24 hour.  Another USARA qualifer, the 4th running of the LIONHEART 24 hour adventure race, in Ohiopyle State Park, PA.  This race is transitional/unsupported & will be raced in a Rogaine format.  Race 85 to 90 miles across the beautiful & rugged Laurel Mountains of south western Pennsylvania. 45 miles of mountain biking on single track, quad trails, rail trails & back roads. 25 miles of trekking & orienteering 12 miles of kayaking on the Castleman & Middle Yough river 175' rappel off of the Historic railroad tressel & a river swim 150 meter river swim on flat water to the finish!

June 12-15, 2008 The Untamed New England Adventure Race.  Mountain Biking (100+ miles) Ropes (1-2 courses including rappelling, ascending, and traverses) Trekking (40+ miles) Paddling (30+ miles) Orienteering (throughout the race, including specific orienteering courses) the racing is non-stop for up to 60-hours. There are no official aid stations, no support crews, no specified "rest" periods; it's just your team, totally self-sufficient, against the Untamed New England course. The winning team is expected to complete the course in around 55 hours. No support crews will be allowed, but we will have a "friends & family" program available for those wishing to closely follow the action but not render assistance to teams. No outside assistance is permitted. Teams will turn-in gear bins at the race check-in; these bins will be staged for teams at specific locations along the race course. Don't count on seeing those gear bins very often, however -- maybe even just once during the race!

June 28-29, HRAdventure Tidewater Traverse.  Tidewater Peninsula, VA 12 - 15 hours, more details to follow.

June 28-29, GOALS ARA Cradle of Liberty 24 hr.  Jim Thorpe, PA.  This race is both a Checkpoint Tracker Series Race and a USARA qualifier.  

July 26-27 Odyssesy One Day, Roanoke Checkpoint Tracker Series race.   This Odyssey One-Day Adventure Race will offer a challenging but fun 24 hr course for racers looking to add miles and hours to their race resume, a challenging race for seasoned athletes, but doable for team wanting to step up from a 12 hr or sprint adventure race. As always, Odyssey guarantees a rewarding experience for all!

September 12-13, Untamed Virginia.  The Untamed Virginia Adventure Race is 30-hours of teamwork, adrenaline, lactic acid, and smiles.  Coming to Richmond, VA test yourself through 100+ miles of paddling, biking, running, orienteering, riverboarding and more! We're compiling the details for the 2008 race, so bare with us while we collect all the information. This race, like the 2007 edition, will feature lots of navigation and strategic decisions; unlike the 2007 edition, this race will not allow a support crew.

September 13, American Aventure Sports/Nature Cure Blackbeard.  NAG'S HEAD, OUTER BANKS, NORTH CAROLINA Sprint Adventure Race USARA National Qualifier. The 4th running of the Black Beard will consist of 25 miles of mountain biking, 10 miles of coasteering (non technical running along the coast), to following the coastline by running on shore, swimming (less than 100 meters) or wading as needed 10 miles of orienteering, 10 mile ocean kayak (on the sound), 80' rappel off of the hotel roof, walk the plank.

October 11-12 HRAdventure Storm the Eastern Shore.  Cape Charles VA 24 - 30 hours, more details to follow.

November 7-8, 2008 Golite Adventure Race National Championship.  This is the our chance to compete against the best teams from across the US in an extremely challenging 24 to 30 hour race.  The format is for 3 person coed teams. Coed teams must qualify at regional qualifying races. Total entry fees are $900.00 per team.
